Lijiashan Bronze Museum is a national key cultural relics protection unit and thematic museum focusing on the collection and display of cultural relics unearthed from the Lijiashan ancient tombs in Jiangchuan. It now holds nearly 3,000 pieces (or sets) of cultural relics of all kinds. The most distinctive ones are: the receptacles featuring intensive ethnic culture, exquisitely cast bronze drums, chimes, copper buckles in various shapes, "bionic" weapons with animal patterns, lots of bronze farm implements, numerous gold and jade ornaments, etc. The bronze vessels from Lijiashan, which are large in quantity, novel in concept, ground-breaking in modelling and exquisite in craftsmanship, play a vital part in the history of bronze in Yunnan and even the world, shining with the splendor of brilliance. It's the museum, ranking behind Yunnan Provincial Museum, that explores the most cultural secrets of ancient Dian State, collects and showcases ancient Dian antiques.
